center for jewish life miami
In addition to the Sports & Wellness Complex, which offers a way for the Center to interact with the community as a whole, a Culinary Experience Hall, comprised of kosher and non-kosher deli/ market, and a cooking class and lecture space, will translate Jewish culture and traditions to Miami at large. Food, and the smells and tastes of home, are essential to all cultures, and the food and retail opportunities at the Center will offer a way for the greater Miami community to easily interact.
The Center will have many flexible spaces for adult learning, young family programming, social gatherings, community meetings and more.
Event & Theater Hall
The Center will house a 24,000-square-foot world class event and theater space with sweeping views of downtown Miami and the waterfront. The event space will accommodate everything from a wedding to a bar-mitzvah, a dance performance to a lecture, a fundraiser to a corporate event with the ability to seat 800 dining guests. In addition to the function space, 1,765 square feet will be available for pre-function needs. We expect the venue to be popular with both the local community and those hosting a destination event.
The Center for Jewish Life
The Center for Jewish Life is premised on the belief that we can be a transformational campus in engaging the Jewish community, and serve as the central address for Jewish education, identity, culture, social, and recreation for people of all ages and backgrounds. We believe that our presence will inspire and motivate millennials and young families to explore and enhance their Jewish lives. We know from the Pew Study, and other social, religious, and psychological reports that the Jewish community needs to create new models of engagement. The Center is an evolution in the understanding of how Jewish institutions need to evolve to support its people and ensure Jewish legacy and continuity.
